The Future of Digital Content

The Future of Digital Content is going to revolve not around browsers, but specific and ever-evolving, ever shrinking, ever-more-sophisticated consumer electronics such as smartphones and modern tablet computing devices. Much of the world is stuck in a browser mentality, and the success of apps is demonstrating that the paradigm of the browser running on a desktop or laptop computer misses the potential of what is actually possible in the age of the powerful hand held tablet and pocket computers with touchscreen interfaces.

I talk about two apps I experimented with today on my iPod Touch. One is free and is called Microsoft Photosynth. Another is a paid $1.99 app called Panoram 360.
