Ran Out Of Gas

I went for a motorcycle ride this evening and ended up running out of gas.

Mandatory Voluneerism

I play a clip from podcaster Michael W. Moss asking for responses regarding the so-called “mandatory volunteerism” called for in House bill HR-1388, the so-called “GIVE” act. My response to the “GIVE” act? Make no mistake, this is the beginning of American death squads. America, wake up !!!!! Pull your head out of the sand and look at the disaster your country is headed for…

  1. Tom, did you actually read the bill?

It’s 15,000 words and if you are familiar with even basic procedural jargon, it’s an easy read.

    http://www.opencongress.org/bill/111-h1388/text

I read it, and I didn’t see anything about mandatory service for minors. I did see a clause requiring parental consent.

Had I been offered a chance to make 500 to 750 dollars for college for 100 hours of working outdoors, I would have jumped on it. That’s more than I was making scooping ice cream in middle school. Hell, that’s as much or more than the Federal minimum wage.

It would strengthen your case if you actually brought up facts instead of fear mongering your way through so many of your podcasts. I agree with many of your sentiments, but as an educated citizen of America, your ranting is embarrassing.

    1. I did read through an earlier version of the bill, which did contain some alarming language. Apparently it created a large response and they’ve watered the language down to make it more palatable to the public.

Since they are printing money anyway they’ve decided to simply buy allegiance rather than require it — the American Way in 2009. The same thing is happening with the “draw down” of the troops in Iraq — they are simply being replaced with paid contractors.

This language in the current bill is still extremely disturbing:

“Programs that engage older individuals with children and youth to complete service in energy conservation, environmental stewardship, or other environmental needs of a community, including service relating to conducting energy audits, insulating homes, or conducting other activities to promote energy efficiency.” link

“Energy Audits” — innocuous-sounding language that translates into door-to-door home searches to make sure you don’t have any illegal contraband.

Don’t pay attention to what goes on in Congress. Instead, keep abreast of the latest Michael Jackson conspiracy theories that passes for mainstream news. If you still have a job, spend your money on keeping yourself distracted for as long as possible. Take the government vaccines. After all, the government loves you!

  2. Your quote doesn’t say anything about compulsory service. “Engaging” is not enlisting, nor forcing.

I’ve conducted and energy audit of a college campus, and it’s as scary as counting light bulbs. And, since this law makes no mention of doing away with unlawful search and seizure, it would still be unlawful to enter our homes to conduct an electricity audit even under our current broken system.

Maybe not the government vaccines… but check out the government chips:

As for Micheal Jackson, monitoring the media and the government is like watching a magician; always keep your eye on the hand that isn’t moving much.

    Drive safe.
